Explain the business before optimizing the page
A useful business website tells a visitor what you do, who the service suits and how to take the next step. SEO helps search engines discover and understand those pages. AEO is commonly used to describe making answers useful in answer-led and AI-assisted discovery. Both benefit from clarity and credible information.
Google says its AI search features do not require a special AI file or a separate type of schema. Pages must be indexed and eligible for a search snippet to qualify as supporting links. Eligibility is not a promise of inclusion. See Google’s guidance on AI features.
Answer the questions a buyer actually asks
Instead of publishing a long list of keywords, take questions from discovery calls and write direct answers. For a software project, those questions often concern scope, timeline, costs, account ownership and maintenance.
Start with the answer, then explain the conditions. “The timeline is agreed after reviewing the integrations” is more useful when you also explain which inputs are needed and when the proposal will define milestones.
Put evidence near the claim
A claim about Shopify experience is stronger when visitors can inspect a relevant project and understand the delivered scope. A testimonial should be the client’s actual feedback. A measured result should include enough context to understand what changed and over which period.
Separate an example from a commissioned project, and an estimate from a fixed price. These distinctions make the site easier for a buyer to trust and reduce confusion during the enquiry conversation.
Give each page a clear job
A service page explains an offering. A location page explains delivery for a place. A guide helps a reader make a decision. Connect them when the next step is useful, rather than repeating the same paragraph across all three.
For example, a guide about selecting a theme can link to the Shopify service. That service can show relevant client work and explain how to request a scope review. Every link has a purpose for the reader.
Keep business information consistent
Use the same business name, contact details and operating information throughout the site. Describe remote coverage honestly. Add verified profiles when available and keep structured data aligned with visible content.
Measure useful outcomes
Track search landing pages and successful enquiries, then review lead quality with the team. In Google Search Console, AI-feature traffic is included in the Web search reporting rather than a separate comprehensive AEO score. Avoid treating a single answer-engine mention as proof of sustained visibility.
Use the first review to find unanswered buyer questions. Improve the relevant page and measure again. Discuss your website if you need help connecting content, implementation and enquiry tracking.
